Onoff is a free application available for both iOS and Android-based smartphones and various other mobile devices running on the Android OS. Unlike many other messaging apps, only the one who has Onoff installed needs to have it used in order to use its features. Once you have Onoff installed, you are able to text or call people using the application, regardless of whether or not they also have Onoff installed. The application also allows users to send voice messages to people that have set up contacts with them through the service. The service works as follows: once you make a call or send a text message to a person with your mobile phone equipped with Onoff software, the service starts sending out messages at intervals based on the settings you have chosen.
Once you pick a frequency that you wish all your contacts to receive messages at, you simply need to start the program and let it do its thing. The software is easy enough to use, even for a novice user, and the Onoff icon on your mobile device serves as the representative on the device's home screen. By tapping the icon, you will then be taken to a website that displays an animated scene depicting a person talking on the phone. If you want to test whether or not your chosen frequency is available on the software, all you need to do is look for a contact's phone number on the application's contact list and click to see if that contact is on the application. This is probably the simplest way to test out the service, although there may be better options that the Onoff Emulator provides.
Users can test out the latest version of Onoff by downloading the latest version of the free mobile application from the Google Play app store. The new version of the application comes with some useful enhancements over its older predecessor. In addition to being able to browse through the contact list on the handset like a standard mobile contact app, users can now also access their calendars and reminders, which are accessible from the main interface. The new Onoff Emulator also offers users some extra features such as the ability to share text messages on the fly via the Android device's messaging system.
